The use of TDOC, provides the following demonstrable benefits:

• The handover documentation is in the same state as used by the construction team who delivered the project,
• There is no effort in accepting the handover documentation, e.g. no checking, indexing, import itno a different systrem,
• Documents are accessible directly on screen from where temporary prints may be made as required,
• Documents can be located by System, Area, or any other suitable means, as well a sby Supplier, Document Reference, or Title,
• Documents can be updated as and when needed,
• Documents and Instructions can be issued to other who need them in simple and easy manner,
• Documents can be shared with other systems such as Task Management.

Compared to other types of systems:

• An EDM system will only provide passive benefits,
• Sharing documents from within an EDM System out to Task management software can be difficult.
